It seems that executives are trending towards “stakeholder” value which benefits the population as a whole rather than simply driving profits for “shareholders” which has been the classical capitalism tenant. They are already getting backlash for socialist tendencies, but others are arguing that the broader health of society must be maintained in order to drive sustainable profits.
Whether executives are pulling a political stunt, or genuinely care for the well-being of society, the IEIC is on trend with what executives are looking towards for personal branding.
The stakeholder vs. shareholder dichotomy could be an interesting topic to dabble with while you are expanding the IEIC in the future.
